Creative is my middle name
Okay, so maybe creative isn’t really my middle name, but I have been extra creative these last few months. Maybe it’s the upcoming baby and my way I relax (did the same thing right before Corbin was born)…whatever it is, I’m getting things done and I like it. I’ve been doing a ton of sewing and just recently went on a scrapbook retreat in Julian and got a whopping 61 pages done. I am so proud of myself. My biggest goal was to finish Corbin’s first and second year so that when the baby comes I don’t have to fret about never going back and finishing them. I think I have 95% completed my goal. Yeah!
What prompted me to start sewing again? All the preggos, of course! I give the nursing covers as gifts or sell them for $25.00. They really are a great gift for moms who want to breastfeed. I also started my first baby quilt and tried my hand at receiving blankets. The fabric store had a ton of flannel on clearance, so I couldn’t pass it up. I knew I could do something with it. The blankets were a little more time consuming than I thought they’d be, but I was learning as I went along. They aren’t perfect by any means, but I think they turned out pretty darn good. Now the question is…who will get them??? I seriously know at least 10 pregnant ladies all due anywhere between April to June. I know…crazy!

Wow! I’m so impressed, Julia! Corbin’s album pages are adorable, and I’ll bet it’s a huge relief to be caught up on that. And all those moms will love your hand-made gifts!
