Corn Maze

19 October 2009 | Whatever

This past weekend we drove up to visit Luke’s family in Apple Valley. We had a fun filled weekend. Friday we went to a near by pumpkin patch and the whole family (grandma, grandpa, auntie Sheryl, Luke, me & Corbin) ventured into the corn maze. Corbin was only a baby last year, so it was fun to watch him run thru the maze so energetically. After the pumpkin patch we all went to The Grindz to get a refreshing beverage and then we were off to Molly’s for lunch. You’d think that would be enough for one day, but after lunch we dropped Corbin off at grandma and grandpa’s house to nap and we took Luke’s sister, Sheryl, to see Whip It (her choice). We were thrilled that the movie exceeded our expectations and may even add it to our dvd collection when it comes out. Saturday was another fun filled day with the family. This time we went over to Luke’s grandma’s house for a big family brunch. She always makes the best breakfasts. Every time we stay with her, she makes us a full breakfast each morning which would include: eggs, bacon, toast, rolls, and even orange juice. We love grandma! Afterward we went across the way to Julie and Bill’s house for games, movies, and gabbing. We were amazed at how fast the day flew by and by 4pm we were being called for dinner. I know…more food. This was to celebrate all the October birthdays. We had beef, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, rice, salad…all the good stuff. Oh, and we can’t forget about cake and ice cream for dessert. They really do go all out!

It was a good trip and look forward to Christmas.
