Over the weekend we visited Luke’s family up in the high desert. The temperatures weren’t as bad as I expected, but still a perfect excuse to play in the pool. Corbin had a blast.

Our good friends, the Peterson’s, invited us over to celebrate Silas’s first birthday with their family. Silas dealt with the pressure of being the center of attention by ignoring everyone and did his own thing. I’d see him one moment and the next he was crawling away to find something new to play with or see. Even when he was presented with cake, he ate it with great delight, but didn’t smile or laugh…he was on a mission. It was as if he knew he would never get another piece of cake for another year and he better get as much in as possible before it was taken away.
