I am so excited right now. Our flight and car rental are booked. We are going to Seattle. Whoo-hoo!
There are many reasons why I’m stoked about this trip:
1. Witnessing my friend getting married
2. Going back to Seattle, Washington
3. Having an adult weekend away with my husband (Corbin is staying with my parents)
4. I love to travel
5. God is so good!

Today has been a day I have been looking forward to as well as dreading. It was my sons 4 month appointment. I love the part where they tell you all the stats, but I dread the shots.
We left my house 20 minutes early and of course, right as soon as we get into the car he starts grunting. We all know what that means…POOH! Smelly pooh. So we get checked in with time to spare and I run to the bathroom to change his diaper. As soon as we get back they call my sons name and we are headed to the room. The nurse glanced at my son and commented about his size. Yes, my son looks like he’s 6 months and just turned 4 months a week ago. What can I say, my son takes after his father (tall white and handsome-hehe). She then asks me to take off all his clothes and we’re off to get him weighed. My son weighs 18lbs 12.5oz (97%). No wonder why my back aches all the time. She also measured him and he’s 27″ tall (96%). It’s confirmed, he’s a big boy.
Back in the room we went and the nurse practitioner came in. She looked at us as if we were aliens. No, really. She mumbled a few words and then quickly left the room. Soon after the nurse came back, grabbed my paperwork that I filled out earlier and left. Again, Corbin and I were alone in the room. About 5 minutes went by and the nurse practitioner came back. She apologized for earlier and I guess my sons size threw her off…she thought he was older too. So weird! Anyways, she checked his heart, ears and eyes and everything looked good. She gave me some paperwork to take home as well as a cute cardboard book on trucks.
Now for the unpleasant part of the visit. The shots! After she left the nurse came back with 4 different shots as well as a drink. I really dislike giving him all the shots at once, but I’m not going to pay a 15 dollar copay 4 times. But anyway, Corbin did as well as a baby can do when he’s faced with pain and discomfort. He did cry, but nothing like his 2 month appointment. I’m so glad it’s over. Thank you, Jesus!

I know this is childish and silly, but I had to share. I was watching the news last night and a commercial came on about the Head to Toe Women’s Expo in Del Mar starting April 11th-13th. That all was fine and dandy, but when they flashed their website I read it as though it said “head to toe women’s sex po”. Not like that makes a lot of sense…it’s just how I read it. What do you see at first? http://www.headtotoewomensexpo.com.
Don’t let their website scare you away. The Head to Toe Women’s Expo looks like a great place for women to find all the latest and greatest fashion, culinary, cosmetics, etc. I’d probably go if I could, but I’m booked that weekend. Anyway, take a friend and have some girl time and let me know how it went.

I was reading Isaiah 43 this afternoon and I just got this beautiful image after reading the text. I see God calling us to Him, protecting us and washing us clean.
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine.”
“Let them bring out their witnesses, that they may be justified; or let them hear and say “It is truth.”"You are My witnesses,” says the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, nor shall there be after Me. I, even I, am the Lord, and besides Me there is no savior. I have declared and saved, I have proclaimed, and there was no foreign god among you; therefore you are My witnesses,” Says the Lord, “that I am God, indeed before the day was, I am He; and there is no one who can deliver out of My hand; I work, and who will reverse it?”
“…To give drink to My people, My chosen. This people I have formed for Myself; they shall declare my praise.
“I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; and I will not remember your sins. Put me in remembrance; let us contend together; state your case, that you may be acquitted.”

Have you ever felt like when you decide to do something, sometimes it feels as thought everything is against you? Well, today I wanted to go to the park and hangout with some other moms. The idea was to show up at 10am, but I arrived closer to 11:30am. Corbin napped longer than normal (I think he may have a cold coming on because he’s got a stuffy nose) and didn’t wake up till 10:30 and that’s also his feeding time. Yes, getting him ready and fed takes a whole hour. My life has changed from being the girl that got ready and out the door in 20 minutes to the girl that’s always late. It sucks! Even when I plan ahead, something happens where I get delayed. Thankfully when my husband is home, those days I do get out the door at a decent time. He’s so helpful!
The park day was fun and short. Like I said, I showed up at 11:30 and everyone left by 12:15. Oh well, there is always next time. I did however have time to take some pictures of my friends daughter, Kadence. She turned 4 months old today. Cobin and Kadence are one day apart.
