Lets go to the movies
posted in Whatever |Ultra Star Theaters have a family movie morning available once a week for moms &/or dads to go to the movies for half the price and kids under 4 are free. Awesome, right? The overall idea is great, but they must not have parents picking the movies they show. I know the idea is that parents get to see grown up movies, but where should they draw the line? Last week they showed Forgetting Sarah Marshall, rated R. I don’t know if you’ve seen it, but I did and was surprised when I saw not just one, but three full male nudity scenes. I guess movie critics don’t bother mentioning nudity anymore, not even male frontal nudity. I am thankful that it was just my husband and I. My son’s only 4 months and he wouldn’t understand even if we did bring him, but I would never consider taking my 4 year old niece to see this movie. Hopefully moms and dads do some research before heading off to the movie theater with their small children. They could find themselves in a very uncomfortable situation.
