I attended a women’s breakfast this past Saturday and was blessed by the message Hope prepared and presented. It’s funny how I’ve been struggling with my imagine in Christ especially this past year (becoming a mom)and God has been answering my prayers. It first started when David spoke a few weeks ago and read a list of titles we hold as Christians and at my missional community we continued to discuss what those titles mean to us and how they affect our spirit and outlook on life. This Saturday was yet another example of God pouring his grace on me because I must not have fully understood what he was telling me the first two times because Hope shared with us ladies what our identity is in Christ. God is so faithful that way. He is the father that continues to wait for his children and when we humbly run back as the prodical son did in the Bible, the father ran to him, clothed him and celebrated his sons return. As I continue to remember that everything is about what Christ has done and not what we do, I am filled with much gratitude, joy, humility as well as learning about my identity in Christ. The guilt, the shame, the negative things I hold onto are no longer relevant because Christ bore the cross for my sin…I am clean…I AM CLEAN! Even as I write this the enemy is attacking me, but Christ’s words are much stronger than Satan. I am called to put on the full armor of God every day…this is a continuous battle here on earth, but the marvelous thing that lightens that burden is that Christ is already victorious. Amen!
