Corbin is 8 weeks old and already has such a great personality. He is growing like crazy. Monday was his 8 week check up and he now weighs 13lbs 7oz and is 24 1/2″ long. He is a BIG boy! Most books say that babies double their birth weight at 6 months…well, I don’t think Corbin can wait that long:) He also got his first round of shots…not fun. Thankfully they spread them out every couple months because it’s torture seeing your baby in pain.

Admittedly, we’ve made some, but some we never even considered. I guess we’ve a ways to go before turning this into a business. Anyways, here’s the list. Corbin is now 7 weeks old. He is very alert and enjoys playing with his toys on the floor gym as well as smiling and making lots of sounds. I have a feeling he’s not going to stay still for long. Today I put a 3-6 month outfit on him….my baby is growing so fast.

Corbin is now 6 weeks old. He is growing so fast. He loves his cradle swing, spending time with mom and dad, going for walks and does really well in the car. His smile will melt your heart and the little sounds he makes are so cute. Pretty soon he will be going to his 8 week check up. I am really looking forward to going so that I can find out how much he weighs now, but I’m not looking forward to all the shots he has to get. Just thinking about it makes me sad. Hopefully he’ll be super strong and won’t be affected too much by the multiple shots.

Has your baby smiled at you yet? If not, he will soon. At 6 weeks, about half of all babies can recognize their parents, and many of those babies are so delighted that they welcome Mom or Dad with an excited, gurgly grin. This is one of the first signs that your baby is developing an ability to socialize. In fact, it’s called a “social smile,” and it’s one of the more emotionally gratifying milestones you’ll see your baby reach.
