Making up our mind has been such a chore and I am starting to think that we won’t know our childs name until he is born and the nurse is holding the birth certificate and is asking for our decision. What pressure!

As I sat listening to David preaching this past Sunday, I found myself distracted by my friends new born son as he laid on her lap next to me. He is only 2 weeks old and is quite adorable. As I starred at him periodically through the sermon I noticed that he made quite a bit of noise for such a small guy and wiggled quite a bit. From there my mind started picturing of all the things my son would also do when he is born and it suddenly hit me that my son might snore. I know…that’s a silly thought, but for some reason I couldn’t get that thought out of my head for the entire day. What is the probability that my son will snore? My husband doesn’t snore unless he’s sick, so will my child inherit the same trait as his father or will he be the complete opposite? Hmm…

This blog has a modest following. And by modest, I mean none. But that’s OK. it’s not really a blog at all. You see, it’s an online gallery to share pictures we’ve taken. Mostly for fun, some pseudo professional, mostly for our own benefit. The blog was really a side effect. You see, originally, this gallery was part of archshrk.com but two things happened. One, Julia wasn’t a big fan of the tan color scheme at archshrk.com and two, her pictures were taking up a lot of bandwith/storage space. So a while back, I launched PhotoJulia.com simply as a place to allow her to be her.

The reason there is a blog is simply to help with SEO (Search Engine Optimization). You see Wordpress, when used wisely, is very good at SEO. So even though Julia doesn’t blog much, she can still make use of the occasional post, the various ‘pages’ and all around usability. With that said, let me tell you why I really wrote this post. You see, Shelli’s friend Jessica The Rock Chick at Life is RANTastic has this dream to be an A-list blogger. Apparently, one of the criteria for this status is to have 500+ links to your blog on Technorati. And despite everyone’s recent rank improvements, she is just short of reaching her goal. And to make things worse, the older links start to fall off with time.

Other than my brother, all the kids in my family are girls so I’m not exactly sure what to do with a boy. I love my unborn son, don’t get me wrong…it’s just a whole new territory for me. What do you do with boys and what do they like? ((Pondering)) I’m sure they like most things girls would enjoy at least from ages 0-5 so maybe I’m over thinking this.
